Privacy Policy

1. Information Collection

Nexus Learning collects information you provide directly when you request a class, register as a teacher, or contact our support team. This includes your name, phone number, WhatsApp number, email address, location, and details about the subject or course you're interested in.

We also automatically collect limited technical information such as browser type, device type, and general usage patterns to help us improve the platform.

2. Cookies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and improve overall performance. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the site may not function as intended without them.

3. Student Data

Information submitted about a student — including name, class or level, subject requirements, and preferred timings — is used solely to match the student with an appropriate teacher and to coordinate the requested class. Student data is never sold and is shared only with the teacher assigned to that request and relevant Nexus Learning staff.

4. Teacher Data

Teachers who apply to join the platform provide details such as qualifications, subject expertise, availability, and contact information. This data is used for verification, matching with suitable class requests, and ongoing platform communication. Verification checks may include a review of academic credentials and prior teaching experience.

5. WhatsApp Requests

When you submit the Request a Class form, your details are formatted into a message and opened in WhatsApp for you to send directly to our support number. Nexus Learning does not automatically capture this data from our servers when you use this method — the message is sent by you, from your own WhatsApp account, to our team.

Once received, your WhatsApp message and the information within it are handled with the same care as any other personal data described in this policy.

6. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. While we work to safeguard your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including providing ongoing class coordination, meeting legal obligations, and resolving disputes. When information is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised.

8. Third Party Services

Nexus Learning uses trusted third-party services to operate the platform, including messaging tools such as WhatsApp, hosting and analytics providers, and map services for displaying our office location. These providers may process limited data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy practices.

We do not control the privacy practices of third-party services and encourage you to review their respective policies.

9. Children's Privacy

Many of our students are minors. Where a class request involves a student under 18, the information is submitted and managed by a parent or guardian, and communication about the class is directed to that parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without appropriate parental involvement.

10. Terms

By using Nexus Learning, you agree to provide accurate information when requesting classes or applying as a teacher, to use the platform respectfully, and to comply with applicable laws. Nexus Learning reserves the right to update these terms and this privacy policy from time to time, with changes reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
